Isabel is a Venezuelan-born painter based in Miami. She studied interior architecture in England, a background that continues to inform how she thinks about space, composition, and the way things coexist within a room. She has been painting for ten years.
Her work has evolved through distinct bodies of work. Her earlier paintings were purely abstract — fluid, organic forms in soft, muted palettes of blush, taupe, and charcoal, exploring movement, contrast, and the search for balance. Her latest collection, Lo que me rodea — what surrounds me — marks a shift toward the personal and figurative, layered with warm earth tones, botanical elements, and the quiet shapes of everyday life.
Isabel paints in the margins of a full life. Slowly, in the time she can find. And that slowness ends up in the work.
